Our Story

Tidy Tooth Dental

We provide excellent patient care underpinned by our strong focus on technology, internal team training/development and external education pathways – and we try to have fun along the way.

These factors have meant that we have been able to attract dental professionals to the area – a notoriously difficult thing to do even for regions as beautiful as the South Coast of NSW.

Having grown from 2 rooms to 10 rooms across 3 clinics in 4 years and expanding to 6 dentists, 3 oral health therapists and visiting specialists, we believe we are best placed to serve the Eurobodalla community for all their general dental needs and most of all specialist or complex needs.

We are the only practice in the region to offer same day crown and bridge work through our leading Cerec technology and on site lab with a PrimeMill and sintering furnace.

We have OPG (2D) and CBCT (3D) x-ray machines, and a 3D printer. Enjoy the video above to see these fascinating machines in action. German design and engineering have done well out of us!

Tidy Tooth sprung to life in 2018. In its early years it was Dr Steve Tangney, Dr Eoin Lehane and Anna-Liisa Matikainen. Our original practice was at Beach rd, Batemans Bay. In 2023 we opened our custom designed clinic at Broulee. We took over Dr Stephen Nelson’s clinic on Old Princes Highway and after a face lift and some technology upgrades we opened in early 2024.

We believe in doing it right the first time. This is why we can stand over the quality of our work. We warranty the predicatable treatments we carry out. It’s one of the reasons why so many of our patients are happy to move their dental care to us after retiring to the coast.

Emergency appointments available daily

We hold emergency appointments daily to address urgent needs. Please contact us as soon as possible to secure your appointment or alternatively book online. If we are unable to see you on the same day please ask to be put on our ‘urgent short call list’.

Locally owned & operated

We will remain locally owned and operated. We won’t sell you out to corporations whose only priority is to maximise shareholder profits. We accept all health funds and veterans affairs, however, we have no contractual obligations to them. This means they can’t dictate to us what treatments you can or can’t have. We believe it is essential for you to maintain control and choice over your healthcare without the influence of shareholders and profiteers. We will work with you to achieve your individual dental wants and needs, and if you have a private health insurer, we will help you get the maximum rebates available.

Our intentions

We intend to make each visit to the dentist your best ever dental experience. This is why we have noise cancelling headphones…. and great personalities.

We are a predominately referral based dental practice, which means we let the quality of our dental care speak for itself and we rely on word of mouth from our existing patients to help us grow sustainably. All this allows us to maintain a fair price structure and limit costs passed on to our community of patients.
