Treatment Details
For many South Coast patients, wisdom teeth treatment has previously meant a trip to Canberra — often with travel and overnight accommodation for both the patient and their support person. From October 2026, selected cases can be treated locally at our Beach Road clinic in Batemans Bay.
Wisdom teeth removal under IV sedation
Dr Colm Galvin will provide wisdom teeth removal and complex extractions at Tidy Tooth Dental Beach Road. Where appropriate, treatment can be completed under IV sedation to help you feel deeply relaxed and drowsy throughout the procedure.
Your sedation care
IV sedation will be administered and closely monitored by Dr Ash, an anaesthetic doctor who works exclusively with dental IV sedation, while Dr Colm performs the dental treatment. Our team will talk you through what to expect and whether this option is suitable for you.
A calm approach for nervous patients
Dr Colm has a special interest in treating nervous patients and focuses on creating a calm, respectful and non-judgemental environment throughout your care.
Previously referred to Canberra?
If you have previously been referred to Canberra or further afield for wisdom teeth removal, our team can review your referral and discuss whether your treatment may be suitable to complete locally at Beach Road. Some cases may still require referral elsewhere depending on complexity.
