Tooth Extractions

When a tooth cannot be saved, safe and comfortable tooth extraction treatment can help protect your long-term oral health.

Sometimes the healthiest choice for your mouth is to remove a tooth — whether it's beyond repair, badly infected, or causing crowding. When that's the case, our focus is on making the experience as calm and comfortable as possible.

When extraction may be needed
  • Severe decay or damage that can't be restored
  • Advanced gum disease affecting the tooth's support
  • Infection that can't be resolved with root canal treatment
  • Problematic wisdom teeth
  • Creating space for orthodontic treatment
Always the last resort

We're conservative by nature — if a tooth can reasonably be saved, we'll tell you, and we'll explain every option before recommending removal. When extraction is the right call, we'll also talk through what happens to the gap, because a missing tooth can affect your bite and neighbouring teeth over time.

Comfort and aftercare

Extractions are performed under local anaesthetic with a gentle, unhurried technique, and you'll go home with clear aftercare instructions and direct contact details in case you have any concerns while healing.

Talk to us first

If you have a painful or damaged tooth, book an assessment at our Broulee or Batemans Bay practice — we'll give you honest advice about whether it can be saved.
