About Dr Colm Galvin

Colm is a highly experienced general dentist with a dedicated clinical focus on wisdom teeth removal and restorative dentistry. Known for an exceptionally gentle and empathetic approach, he has built a reputation for helping nervous patients feel at ease and in control of their dental care.

Please note: Dr Galvin practises as a General Dentist with a special clinical interest in wisdom teeth extraction. He is not a registered specialist oral or maxillofacial surgeon.

Colm graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2006 and spent his early career gaining extensive clinical experience in general dentistry across Edinburgh and Glasgow, before relocating to Australia in 2011. He continues to advance his expertise through international training, having completed advanced courses across Australia, Europe and the United States, including study at the Global Institute for Dental Education.

His practice philosophy is built around creating a positive, stress-free environment, particularly for people with dental anxiety. That means a strictly non-judgemental space where patients feel comfortable discussing their oral health, transparent treatment so people clearly understand what is happening and can choose what is best and most affordable for them, and a strong preventive focus, on the belief that stopping small issues early beats treating major ones later.

Based in Sydney, where he provides comprehensive general dentistry for families and children, Colm travels to the South Coast to work with the Tidy Tooth team. He offers regular visits specifically to treat more complex cases of wisdom teeth removal — so local patients have access to highly experienced care close to home.
